Yeah but I don't like the fact that some people use spoons irresponsibly and eat themselves to early grave. Since I can't muster enough political will to ban spoons....the next best thing is to pass laws to make it easier to sue and bankrupt spoon manufacturers. Most Chinese people don't have access to guns....so they don't go on school shooting sprees. Instead they go on school knifing sprees.

Kitty, an argument that was presented is people use guns irresponsibly and therefore guns should be banned. Its a silly argument because people use lots of things irresponsibly...including spoons.
The better argument is that there exist both responsible and irresponsible use of guns, and the overall utility of guns is either positive or negative. Looking at this case specifically as evidence that guns should be banned is simply being narrow minded.
