Well, it's in Canada, and the article quotes someone that says she exercised her rights under the Health Care Consent Act. It also says she's a First Nations child, which means her ancestors were indigenous when the Europeans settled North America, so I'm sure that complicates the law, too.

I see, so ignorant parents are allowed to basically murder their children by refusing crucial treatment. Is it that different to refusing to feed them?
