Does it matter?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Denmark

Quote:In general, however, Danes are secular, and church attendance is generally low.[1]

There are entire web sites dedicated to silly, out-dated, laws in the US. The Danes have voted with their feet. "Fuck Religion" won.
We're talking about the government of Denmark, and I see you still fail to answer the question.

Also according to your own link,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Denmark
Quote:Most people in Denmark are Christians (79%) The rest is mainly irreligious or other minority faiths,[30][31][32] although many people define themselves as irreligious but spiritual.

As to your question; yes, it does. It may not have wholly secular structures, but that's beyond your level of political understanding.

And again, even if Denmark was a theocracy, it still doesn't negate the point you were trying to rebut in that thread. And let's not forget further that the only reason Ron's thread went on for so long was because you kept not understanding that secularism =/= atheism =/= communism, which was a jolly good laugh I can tell you.

So keep on posting that thread as an example, please, everywhere on the Internet, and I beseech everyone to read it if you want to garner an understanding of how huggy's mind works.
first of all you had plenty of opportunity to provide a rebuttal in the other thread, but instead you chose to dodge questions and spam the thread like a child. According to YOUR OWN WORDS, Denmark isn't secular.

This is YOUR definition of secularism

(January 3, 2015 at 8:58 pm)Pandæmonium Wrote: Secularism Gurantees what ive highlighted you suggest in the above post. It gives people the ability to chose a religion (or no-religion) without the state choosing for then. It prevents a state mandated religion from either existing or enforcing it's rules and dogmas on the body politic.

Now if that's not the 'freedom to chose' I don't know what is.
According to YOU, secularism prevents a state mandated religion.
From the same link Minimalist posted
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Denmark
Quote:Of all the religions in Denmark, the most prominent is Christianity in the form of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark, the state religion.
Also according to YOU secularism "gives people the ability to chose a religion (or no-religion) without the state choosing for them"
This is taken from your own link
https://atheistforums.org/thread-30615-p...#pid846133
http://www.trincoll.edu/depts/csrpl/rinv...enmark.htm
Quote:According to the constitution (§ 54), the Lutheran-evangelic Church is the Danish People’s Church (“Folkekirke”), and is, as such, supported by the State, which means that the Lutheran-evangelic religion and its institutions and churches are given a favored place among religions in Danish society. All tax-paying citizens, regardless of their personal religious beliefs, thus contribute to the priests and bishops of the “Folkekirke.”

Practically all citizens are automatically born as members of the “Folkekirke.” Not to be so demands that the citizens take the initiative to leave the church. At present 83 percent of the Danish population belong to the “Folkekirke.”
According to your own definition, Denmark is NOT SECULAR, yet you ignore your own words and continue to claim it is.

This proves my point.

The fact that you guys claim that you'll believe in God if evidence is provided, when you clearly won't accept the fact that Denmark isn't secular, according to YOUR OWN standard of what secularism is, makes a lot of sense....if you're stupid.

Oh, look. There he goes again. Will he ever learn?

Perhaps I need to be more direct: you look like a five year old. Stop waving your first unassisted dump around. It's embarrassing.

I did, because you've been bringing this fucking thread up since page 20. It's irrelevant to the topic. It's immature. It's annoying. It's just like your signature.

As long as it's a typo and not systemic grammatical floundering....sure. I guess.

Meanwhile, yes, your "argument" if you wish to call it such a thing, is tilting at windmills. Are you really trying to argue Denmark is not a secular society?

In terms of importance of religion in the country, Denmark ranks #3, behind only Sweden and Estonia.

Go Don Quixote! GOOO!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Importance_...#Countries

It's like atheist ground central. Jesus H Christ in a Danish!

What's next? Arguing water isn't *actually* wet?

No I'm not.
I'm assuming since you guys are scrutinizing typos (I guess the one from pandemonium slipped by you guys) you have no argument.

My response was not to you, but if you have something to say then say it, otherwise sit down and shut up.
