Christians: how do you sleep at night?
RE: Christians: how do you sleep at night?
Ah, Brakeman, I told you I did not need to.
I thought that was sufficient, after giving your scriptural reasons that I am perceiving the Holy Spirit in my daily life.
You pray for what you DON'T know or have.

Tonus, the logical response for being rescued is thankfulness.
Like many on the Titanic, their perception of danger- like our own, was mollified by:
the size of the ship, a seasoned captain. calm weather, an "Unsinkable" PR campaign attested by experts, and likely the best booze.
Get away from all that and you get reality.

So you claim infallibility do you? You couldn't possibly be wrong therefore you refuse to ask, is that correct?

So humor me then, for someone else who was not so sure of their god-like ability to discern the devil wolf under the sheep's clothing, could they pray and get an answer directly from god's judgment?

I will try to humor you (at least as much humor as I get here, which is pretty good).

As you requested, I asked about David Owuor- Is he of You and a prophet of Yours?" and I get affirmative-yes.
Now, how could that be tested? Only time.

Brakeman, there are other prophetic people I have high regard for (they do not have the platform of recognition with huge meetings all over Africa like Dr. Owuor).
I formerly mentioned-Prophet Kevin Mirasi , Shannon Johnson (both black guys, both on youtube) plus I would add Jonathan Kleck
(white guy) as prophetic but not a prophet per say, Shannon would be in that category too.
The term "Prophet" and "Seer" indicate the same thing- the prophets SEE stuff and hear stuff.

We see and hear too much sometimes. It's exhausting. Plus, if I prophesy something - what you'll say next, for example - and you deliberately don't do it in order to cheat the prophecy, I get a headache.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's alright, I knew you would anyway.

I have a question for all of you Christians out there. How the fuck do you sleep at night? You're subscribing to a religion which bases its survival on people's weaknesses and exploits them. Does that bother you at all, or do you refuse to acknowledge it?

The very idea that you need to baptised before you're a human being is disgusting. We're god's perfect creation, but we're born sick? God is merciful and forgiving, but won't let you into his VIP club in the afterlife if you don't get water poured over your head?
The idea of confession isn't any better. Because the priests are obviously such better people than you, they will listen to all your human little misdeeds and oh so mercifully forgive you. It's sickening.
Religion also enforces the idea of thought crime. That's nothing more but a neat little trick to make people feel even more guilty for something they can't control. Your very thoughts are sinful. It does make a lot of sense, though: if you punish people for thinking, they might stop doing it, eventually.

The question that bugs me is, do all those priests, pastors and bishops really believe the bullshit they're preaching or did they just get a neat deal of deceiving the gullible and making money off of it?

In my estimation about 50% are sincere the rest are fakes, in it for the money. I don't let that bother me though, I sleep well. It's what I do that counts. It's like something the old time preacher Billy Sunday said, it's not how high you jump, it's how straight you walk. I may walk slow but it's straight.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

You know Stimbo, in a way, we all do prophesy at times.

When the Tower of Babel was being built, it was recorded that God said, .."they are of one mind: nothing they can imagine will be impossible for them, therefore, let us........." You know the rest.

Have you ever noticed some of the phrases we hear: "Well I'll be damned" or "That killed me".
Fortunately, there is no conviction (faith) behind those words but their presence in our language indicates something.
We are inspired by the Evil One to use our words against ourselves.
Just as the use of "Jesus Christ" or "For Christ's Sake" or "Jesus" or "Christ" are used as exclamation points in conversations.
Verifying the violation of the command to not take the name of the Lord thy God in a useless way,
just as humanity violates all the rest of them.
Notice how all the Muslims honor their god and prophet. A clear indicator they are false.

Human and Strawdawg, if you could understand that among all the lies, false views of life and hocus pocus, there is a reality that you need to grasp. Flailing at the false stuff should lead to a thought: "What is real?" That thought can lead you to look relentlessly for the truth, if you do that, setting aside any personal agendas (pre-conceived dogmas)- you will find it.
