ROFLOL

Oh I love this, and it could have happened to a more deserving person!!

You don't teach your kids English language as well do you Drich? I counted 7 spelling mistakes in 4 sentences.

Someone should throw a spellchecker at him. It is impossible to take anything seriously when the spelling and grammar are this bad.

Spank 'em, Brakeman. It's the only thing these fuckers understand. I had an extended family member once go there with my son at about the same age. Once. Last I heard, they're still trying to surgically dislodge my foot from her ass, and my son's now 20.

The sad/funny thing is that people like Drich and those other parents legitimately think they're in the right with this kind of behavior. That saving a young girl's soul (lol) is paramount, far more important than the small sin of deception, especially as it's a sin committed in the name of Christ. Christ will forgive them in attempting to bring a new sheep into the flock.

Gotta love religion. Heinous behavior is okay if you're doing it in the best interests of your god.

I consider it more "dangerous" than "sad/funny." If you believe in your heart that the Bible is the truth, then you can't help but feel for a child whose parent is pulling them away from god. And if you take an ends-justify-the-means approach to the matter (important to note: not every Christian does) you will feel justified in taking any steps to 'save' the child in question. If the parents of the child object to your actions, you may feel that their objections pale in comparison to the good you are doing for the child.

This is one of the ways that religion can do real harm to people, by giving them the motivation to involve themselves in the lives of others and interfere, with the genuine belief that they are doing it for the greater good or at least for the benefit of the person being targeted.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

That's Drich in a nutshell.

What if she doesn't want to listen to your propaganda, Drich? What if she found truth in Mohammad, or Xenu, and wanted to follow him instead of you?

Maybe you'll deign to answer one of these questions at some point.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Save your children from religious nutcases.
Raise them with logic, reason, science, because faith doesn't do shit.

This was the exact justification for the Inquisition.
