Wrongdoing, on the other hand, involves offences/injuries to actually existing beings.

failing to smite fig trees

considering the sabbath to be anything other than sunset Friday to sunset Saturday

believing pi is anything other than 3

praying in public

revisiting your vomit

tattoos

forgetting that the human soul is conveyed via the breath

masturbating goats



you get the idea: don't piss off god

Human nature, criminalised.

Like many words, "sin" has more than one meaning, which one can easily see from looking it up in a dictionary:

An offense against god is the first meaning listed at the above link, but the word can simply mean 'wrongdoing,' as one can see from the second definition at the above link.

Exodus 16:1 (CEB) =  The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Sin desert, which is located between Elim and Sinai. They set out on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had left the land of Egypt.
