Aye, but try expalining geological timescales to yer average rapture-wank chistard and they'll be tying you down to a lampost and flicking holy water over you after the first few sentences - if you catch them on a good day.
and on a bad day they will just burn you on said lamp post.

Which 3?
I have either been duped into seeing or have voluntarily googled through my own stupidity all of the above. And so, so many more over the years...
To give you an idea of what effect the internet has had on me, I went from being unable to watch even moderate violence in films to barely flinching when I see the most unspeakable violent acts being carried out, all in the space of about 2 years. So all of this debauchery and sin concentrated in one place, yet the worst things that've happened to the internet is the dot com bubble and Friday by Rebecca Black. If that's divine retribution, I have to say I'm underwhelmed.
lol a little bit of the old in out and ultraviolence
idk what Goatse, felching and lemon parties are... now im curious but i'll look them up later on my phone.. in private... lol i dont need anyone in the office asking why my face looks like that as i cover my mouth with one hand and hold my phone with the other

DISCLAIMER.
The search words I put on there are VERY VERY NSFW and will almost certainly get you fired. They are also decidedly not for the faint of heart, though they will go some way to desensitising you to the horrors that lurk on the web. Right now, I'm jacked up on energy drinks and so my bucket of fucks to give is even emptier than usual, but I thought I'd put this here to hopefully avoid me getting in trouble here

Well, with our resident CERN physicist and black hole avoidance expert at home changing diapers, we are all doomed.
Doomed, I say.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Misconstrue? Perhaps you should clarify what you mean. Answering my question would go a long way in doing this. You threw out the tired 'it's not natural' canard, but have yet to tell me why CERN is 'bad' yet other unnatural technologies are not.

Were not the LHC is not powerful enough to cause a world ending anything. If you build a LHC that stretches around the world 1 or 2 times and also have enough energy to start it up which we wouldn't have that amount we'd kill ourselves via black hole... But the LHC makes mini black holes that pretty much evaporate fairly quickly so yeah
