Of course not. People say stupid things all the time that do not accurately reflect the core beliefs of the group to which they belong.
For example, if I were to post all the blunders made by Joe Biden, would that BY ITSELF be a reason to conclude that all males, all democrats or all Americans are equally stupid? No, it simply does not follow.
So, what exactly is the point of trying to prove Christianity to be false by tying it to something stupid said by Romney or anyone else?
Well I guess if you read stuff like that saying by Catholic priests and how much religious people like to listen to them it's scary. Like in documentary "God Loves Uganda" there is a real life scene of Evangelical priest preaching to people how homosexuals are monsters that during their sexual acts eat each other shits as they come out of their assholes and he also shows them large pictures of it and you see people going berserk. So that in Uganda homophobia is so big that you don't even have to be gay and you can even be married with children and yet people can be made to believe you're gay and prosecute you and even kill you.

Were you abused by a family member or by clergy?
Are you really trying to say that only molestation victims get upset about molestation? Perhaps that explains your apathy, but it is not nearly the only reason I have for detesting the behavior of your church's leadership.
I'm a father. I'm a caring member of society and want to see its laws enforced fairly, and without obstruction from any organization ... particularly one which claims moral leadership.
So, quit trying to deflect my points and answer my points. The nerve of you, trying to inculpate my family.
You will not get another answer from me until you address my points above.

No. But most people are not as emotional about things that have not affected them personally.

I listed options. Family? Clergy? A neighbor? Something set you on the path of hating all Catholics...what was it?

Done. So, now the answers to MY questions, please?

I don't hate all Catholics, asshole. My son's mother was Catholic when we met as was another long-term lover of mine.
I detest apologists for child-rapists.
Yes, that means you.
And no, you still haven't answered my points. They're in my above posts. Go reread them, this time for comprehension rather than argumentation.

Parkers, have I EVER said the priests guilty of these crimes should be sent to jail? How many times?
But you wrote:
Quote:I hate enablers, like your Church. Apologists like you deserve your share of contempt for continuing to support an organization which resists efforts by law enforcement to bring these priests to justice.
You help protect these priests with your donations, and you've earnt my contempt for that.
The Catholic Church is made up of all of its members, Parkers. So, when you "hate enablers, like your Church" you are actually saying that you hate all Catholics because we ARE the Church. And OF COURSE I continue to support my church, Parkers - all 1.2 billion of us continue to support our Church - despite the sins of some individuals within the Church. We are able to make a distinction between individuals who do bad things and the institution itself which is good.
For example, Planned Parenthood is bad because it operates slaughterhouses for the collection and sale of human body parts. That's an institutional evil. On the other hand, someone like Jerry Sandusky, who raped boys in the shower at Penn State, was a bad individual; Penn State as an institution is not guilty of his crimes...even if some at Penn State covered it up. Penn State is bigger than those few individuals.
Can you not make this distinction?
I dunno...based on what you have written, you must hate us all, because we all remain Catholic, and we all continue to donate our time, treasure and talent to the Catholic Church.

No, I don't hate all Catholics. You really need to read what I've written, and while you're at it, address my original points rather than this continued deflection.
Look, I get it, if I had enabled molesters, I'd probably try to rationalize my support too. But I'm here to tell you that plenty of Catholics stood up and did the right thing, and stopped supporting such a diseased tree.
You haven't gotten there, hence my questions, and my ire. You are deliberately refusing to own your share of the responsibility for their heinous actions. I will not let you forget that until you quit being an apologist for the perversions your Church -- which is all its members, which implies corporate responsibility -- until you own your own personal failings in a manner demonstrating that you value the feelings of the molested at least as much as you value your dependance on your corrupt church.

If the Church is all its members, you personally own a share of the blame, Randy.

Do you know the different between the Vatican and Penn State?
The Vatican claims moral authority, and Penn State doesn't.
Why do you continually ignore that point? That's right, because "Daddy, they did it too" helps you sleep at night.
