The law of this land is when a Church engages in politics they lose their non profit status. Why isn't this law being enforced?

That is precisely right.  However, churches by IRS law are automatically tax exempt and not required to apply for 501c3 status.  If they are a 501c3 though, they are bound to political silence.

Congress has imposed special limitations, found in section 7611 of the Internal Revenue Code, on how and when the IRS may conduct civil tax inquiries and examinations of churches.

The section referenced was enacted during the Bush the Smarter administration.

The IRS isn't subject to voter approval, so if somebody were to tip them off, say send some incriminating evidence to the right people...
