Do you like your job and/or career?

As was pointed out to me (several) times by the AF, the ENTIRE point of the B-1 Bomber is to carry the bomb bay mechanism to somewhere in the vicinity of the target for it to do it's thing.

That the B-2 bomber played a prominent role in the Judgement Day War in the Terminator movie franchise is a source of endless pride to me.

You keep switching between B-1 and B-2.  They're completely different kinds of bombers, and i'm mightily confused

I like my job on most days. I am pretty well known in the automotive brakes industry and very good at my job. It is the knowledge that other companies recognize my expertise that gives me job security, not the company itself. Currently I work for a place that is hopelessly stupid and hemorrhaging money, but me and my family love the location. Unfortunately my company will want to move me to a sucky part of Europe soon so I may jump then.

I hate the constant hot deadlines though.

Right now I love my job. But, it is more the people that I love than it is the job itself. I am good at my job though. It also feels good that others rely on me doing my job, and that doing my job well makes their jobs easier for them.

If find that the people I work with are often key to the level of happiness I find in my work. Without that, some work can be drudgery.

I am filled with dread almost every day thinking about working.
I take zoloft, which helps cut down on the anxiety quite a bit, which is directly related to my job, that is clear. It's not so much the career, but the company I work for.

I fucking hate it. I am 53 and have 24 years with the company, so I'd be a moron to quit right now. The only solution is to win the lottery.


Do you like what you do? Tolerate? Dislike? Hate with the fiery passion of the sun?

You would be a moron to quit a job that you loath to go to everyday just because you've been there a long time? Fuck that shit. Take off the golden handcuffs. You would live another 30 years easy. You really want to waste half that time at a job you hate?

Me, I work seasonally and then take most of the year off of work to travel and peruse other interests.

A good litmus test in determining how enamored you are with your job/career, is how do you feel on Sunday afternoon/evening, before the work week begins? Are you filled with a sense of dread? That probably means you need a change.

Most of the time my job is great and I love it. Despite the frustrations and failures, and dealing with idiots, both patients and staff, the rewards outweigh the negatives.

Other times it's the most gut wrenching, frustrating, hated job you can imagine. There are timrs I've returned to my office and spent the afternoon in tears from anger and frustration.

But, overall, I love doing what I do.
