These are more my childhood films, these days the horror films I've enjoyed were the paranormal activity, conjuring and insidious. Plus it follows.
The book It is amazing and my fave of King's books out of the ones I've read so far. I enjoy the movie, but mostly for the first half. The remake is supposedly still happening, but with a different director.

I'm about to watch Green Inferno. Has anyone seen it?

Honestly, while horror is, to me, a very nebulous genre, here are a few of my favourites:
- The Haunting (1963 version, naturally)
- The Shining
- Shyamalan's (admittedly few) good films (read: Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, The Visit, and [an honorary place due largely to a brief scene with Bryce Dallas Howard awakening my foot fetish] The Village)
- The Evil Dead Trilogy
- The Wicker Man (1973 version)
- Silence of the Lambs
- Manhunter
- Red Dragon
- Practically ANY German Expressionist classic
- Natural Born Killers
- Black Swan
- Repulsion
- Let the Right One In
- Rosemary's Baby (No, I haven't seen the remake)
- Where the Dead go to Die
- Dawn of the Dead (Either one, really)
- Shaun of the Dead
- Donnie Darko
- Kalifornia
- Day of the Locust
- 28 Days Later
- Any film by Cronenberg or del Toro
- American Psycho
- Yentl.
I suppose that some may dispute the place some of these films on the list; some might not register as horror. But I stand by them nonetheless. Except for the last one. That was just a joke.

I didn't understand Donnie Darko. It was weird. Was there supposed to be a point?

I chickened out. Don't want to watch it tonight because it's night time and I'll be home along all weekend. Not that I get scared, but it's just a very heavy movie to watch alone at night. I think I'll watch it tomorrow during the day.

Movies that got me spooked as a kid:
Nightmare on elm street... (watched it when I was 8...only took about a year to shake it off)
Star trek II, the wrath of Khan (something to do with worms entering the brain and turning you into a sort of soulless robot)
Aliens
More recent I ones may be...
The ring
Saw (this was more the gross factor than horror)
And then I gave up watching these sort of movies...
With the exception of the evil dead trilogy which I reached recently, but that was more for the funny and nostalgia factor, than any horror thematic.
