It's not Magic, It's just beyond our current comprehension. Here's the thing. You/Your mind is a Finite vessel let's say a shot glass. Now collectively our scientific knowledge is a shot glass multiplied by those who understand 'science' minus all of those who Can not even apply it. Let be generous and say that is 100 billion shot glasses for all of humanity who has ever or ever will exist.
God's Comprehension is an Ocean. not the pacific or Atlantic but an ocean that has no beginning and no end it goes infinitely in all directions. Now if you were to take 100 billion shot glasses of sea water out of that ocean of knowledge would our collective shot glasses come anywhere close to the volume contained in an Omniscient God?
Nature knowledge is only the beginning as we do not forfeit supernatural understanding or knowledge as well. I simply said what makes you think God can ONLY Be "Magic?"
Quote:If you can explain something through means that don't require a god, which has not yet been proven to exist, then what's the point of the god?You assume 'God' is a crutch as 'science' is a crutch. We acknoledge God, because of what He has done.
We do not point to God just for a point of orgin, but to show love and thanks.
Quote:Yeah, we have a pretty accurate picture of how the universe works, and it's getting clearer and clearer over time.No you don't. what you have is a fair understanding of what men who are smarter than you are say is the origins of the universe and you are not in a position to question them in any way shape or form.
Quote:If you want to fit your god into the gaps, that's fine, but those gaps are getting smaller and fewer over time. This makes me question if you even have a tenable understanding of origins you claim. Because what my argument has done is reverse what you just said. Science has now become the explanation of how God works.
Quote:Pretty sure we can test things outside our planet. It's not faith when anyone with the proper tools can test or observe what other people can. What a fools perspective. 'We' can only observe any celestial event from one point in space in maybe a 300 year window of time. Basically you are claiming mastery of the known universe from one single perspective over a time value that would not even be considered to be a drop in the bucket when we consider the claims made to the maturation of the celestial events being described.
Your claim is absolute lunacy if you presume to think 'science' has anywhere near close to the understanding of being anywhere but in it's absolute prenatal infancy. We can even decide if our planet is warming or cooling because of supposed carbon emissions, HitH can you assume we know everything their is to know about the rest of the universe?
You have been given a false understanding of what science is and how much we really do grasp.
Quote:What makes you think we can't? His abilities aren't demonstrable, so anything you say about what he can do is akin to debating how large dragons can truly grow before they stop. Or if they stop.Sport you still don't get it.. If you take what I said to be true then His Abilities Are Indeed Demonstrable, and "Science" has demonstrated them. It like you works under the wrong assumption that know How God does "X" someone precludes God from doing "X"
