You guys are lucky.

If you get THAT drunk that you crack open the fondue set that Aunt Estelle gave you for a wedding present or a bottle of Masala, I'm outta there too!

I'm starting to think I'm not a real atheist. First I can't join in with the beards, now this!
I remember now why I don't get invited to parties. I've never been much of a drinker, and right now I can't drink anything due to my medication. I've never used any recreational drugs either. Oh yeah, and I don't have hardly any friends. My idea of fun is blowing up imaginary people in a video game. And roller skating.
When someone does accidentally invite me, I'm the guy who sits on the sofa for a few hours sober, cries a little inside then goes home. I'm sorry guys, I'm just not up to the task. Just fair warning for anyone who ends up meeting me in real life! I may prove to be dull as fuck. I'm lucky I managed to marry someone who doesn't seem to mind.
I better leave you real atheists to have some fun

My Beloved is the same way; she could have written the above almost word for word about parties, except that she will on occasion have a drink. She also says she's dull, but I find her mind amazing, when I can get her to open up. (Edit to Add: And, more importantly, like you and your wife, she tolerates me!)
Me, I once did well at parties, since I'm fairly social and chatty, and get pretty damned funny (according to others) when I'm stoned. However, I now have a lot of PTSD-type issues with large numbers of people in one place, and found it to be a lot of "work", even before. Besides, since I know you're the same age I am-- frankly we're too old to be much fun at parties, now, I suspect.
Don't be so hard on yourself. Just because we're on the other side of a computer screen doesn't mean we're not real, or not really friends, and we think you are awesome just the way you are.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I agree with rocket! You awesome, Rob!
I would join in, on the drinking, but i really don't want to end up drinking too much as i probably would, i have yet to learn moderation it seems

Thank you guys
I am very easy going and chatty, as long as I'm with laid back people. If I'm in a large group setting I tend to get ignored, and when I'm with people who seem easily offended I tend not to say very much.
As a bonus, I don't need to be drunk to talk complete shit and act like an idiot!
