I'm a very avid supporter of the 2nd amendment and gun rights. I currently have 29 various types of firearms including 3 NFA items. I'd much rather live in a society with armed citizens vs. a society where only the gov't and criminals are armed.

Gun Ownership - are you for or against it and why?

Why? Because I like having a gun and not worrying about having to use it simply to keep my having a gun hidden.
I'm going to have a gun anyway... might as well have it legal too Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
I've been collecting weapons for decades. Some of them are on permanent loan to the Smithsonian. If you know the safety rules and follow them, they're not a problem. As for being dangerous, I can kill a man with a newspaper.
Yep. Cause it's my right as an American

I am in favor of every American learning to fire a recoiless rifle from the shoulder.
I like going to the range. I'm a little uncomfortable about having a gun in my house, but that is only a personal feeling about my own house, which has been weaponized since I was twenty. I don't mind keeping a weapon, despite the occasional sense of unease because I know that shooting an attacker is a hell of a lot easier than outsmarting him before he kills me, which would be my only other option. I'm sure there are a few that I could take in a fight, but do I want to risk that? Definitely not. If someone breaks into my house and tries to hurt me, I am not trying to impress anybody with my scant hand to hand combat skills.
All I had to do was mention the word American in a gun thread and out comes the haters.
