Don't worry, he's probably working even now on an excellent question, going around asking people for suggestions, writing equations on a blackboard about it, consulting with experts, losing sleep and not eating because of it, wondering if it's ruining his life, even going on a self-discovery trip to better get in the mindset of typing that response we're all waiting for. I mean, I've heard this, but don't hold me to it, that people are actually discussing stopping all forum activity until Viking comes up with his question. You know, just so there's nothing to distract him from his purpose.

Thinking about my adopted grandchildren. My youngest daughter adopted, and I'm pretty fucking proud of her--but I'm worried that her adopted kids will never develop a bond with her that I know she wants. Especially since she adopted children who are a bit older (and their age difference isn't that big, since she's only 24). She cares a lot, maybe a bit too much. I understand why she adopted older children. They usually don't get adopted. Probably for the very reasons I'm thinking about. But it's not like family is just until you're 18.
