It's an inside joke. Apparently a long time ago(I wasn't even here) a spammer posted a lot of stuff about rock crushing equipment. The forums took that and appropriated it as a form of satire against trolls and such.

I look forward to the day when society can move beyond classifying rock crushers as being either vertical or horizontal and allows rocks to be crushed however people feel like at the time.

For example, I crushed one guy's rocks once. He started off vertical and quickly ended up horizontal.

Haven't seen the video, but all that it proves is that materialism is true, that is, that atheists sometimes suffer from mental health issues just like everyone else.  Every hear of Jim Baker?  Don't know if he is still alive or not, but I suggest that you google one of his meltdowns.
