Not necessarily. I might curse and you might not ... but you might have a much larger vocabulary than I, due to wide reading, extensive education, etc.

You cannot draw a conclusion either way.

Well, if two people had identical vocabularies other then the curse words, the person who uses curse words has a larger vocabulary. It's some serious 1984 crap to say not using certain words means you have a larger vocabulary.

Fuck is a great word though.

I like how his one post caused a 9 page conversation. That's what I like about this place.

Just what we need, more troll shit.

What is TTA? Is that another site like this? I'm on the look out for more to get involved with. When I googled TTA it didn't give me anything helpful.

The Thinking atheist.  It's a very good atheist podcast available on Youtube.  There's also a forum.

I always thought the shoe queen was Imelda Marcos. Or am I wrong about that?

No argument here.

Regarding "larger vocabulary", when my dad caught me cussin' the first tme, he told me not to do so. Of course I pointed out that he did it (yes, I was this snotty even back then, lol), and then he told me what I think people are realy trying to get at when they say "larger vocabulary". He said, "Son, it makes you sound stupid, like you can't think of any other word to say."

Of course, we all know, as he well knew, when you hammer your thumb, only a good "Fuck!" will do. 'Cause at that sort of moment, no, no I cannot think of any other word to say.

So to me it's not a 1984 sort of thing, but just people -- ahem -- not knowing how to say what they mean with the right words. They don't mean, I think, that your vocabulary is actually smaller. Could be wrong, ain't gonna sweat it. Smile

I look forward to the day when society can move beyond classifying rock crushers as being either vertical or horizontal and allows rocks to be crushed however people feel like at the time.

For example, I crushed one guy's rocks once. He started off vertical and quickly ended up horizontal.

Was there any impact involved?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
