Worry not, this vale of tears will soon be lifted, lol..right?
To be fair, that particular brand of fundy thinks that the power of christ also transforms their lives -in- same said vale of tears. They expect to have good and decent lives even -as- the world crumbles. They have, thusly, every motivation to spend that good life as a doctor, or a lawyer..and I'm sure there are a few satisfied burger joint cooks out there, too.
The end may be nigh, but it isn't here yet. We all make what we can of our lives while we have lives to make something of.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Is that the one this guy subscribes to or is he more fuzzy about it?
Personally I'd find a more immediate date and schedule an 'It's not the end of the world' party for the day after...

Extremely credulous, at least.

No, but it can lead you to making choices that are, depending on the situation you're in.

Another burning question is what's going to happen to your pets? (Note: services like this started as a joke by atheists, but the site this video comes from claims to legitmately be Christian and have thought it was a good idea, lol.)

Edit Reason: i just loved the quote from c.dollar site,
)
Let's look at this from the other angle.
You have an only child who you love dearly. He is flesh of your flesh and blood of your blood. And discharge of your discharge, too.
So, you care about him. You care about his future, too.
You can pay for his education in a university, help him become a doctor or a lawyer. But that will ensure his well-being in the temporary world.
Measly 70 years maximum.
But what about life-everlasting? Do you want him to suffer for eternity in a lake of fire?
I would personally give all my savings to a church that will help me and my son be together in Heaven
Would you rather your son flip burgers in McDonalds or him being flipped in the hellish fire?
and on a side note, I wonder, does Crefdo Dollar have a new Guflstream jet?
http://edition.cnn.com/2015/03/13/living...index.html
The article is a year old.
In soliciting the donations, Dollar's site states, "We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ. Your love gift of any amount will be greatly appreciated."
Any amount.... Why not give Dollar all of your savings? I am sure Jesus will love your generosity, will He not?

End of Times, End of Times, End of Times....
Even if you don't really believe in it (or you can regard it a heap of horse manure), constant bombardment by these doom news can make you neurotic? Can it not?
IDK, but maybe you can tell us something from experience?
Or if there is some neurosis already, I suppose it can be aggravated by devout parents, spouses, etc?

But what about life-everlasting? Do you want him to suffer for eternity in a lake of fire? Many devoutly religious parents consider the status of their offsprings eternal soul more important than the status of their earthly position.

-and a church would gladly take them. Though the more successful ones bilk you more gently. They know that they can extract more from you on a tithing basis than on any voluntary lump sum salvation transaction. You don't kill the cow that gives you the milk.
