I am a theist, what do you think of my proof for God existing?

1. Formulate the information of the concept of God, thus:
"God in concept is first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning."

2. Look for instances of causation in reality outside of concepts in our mind.

3. We find countless examples of causation in reality outside of concepts in our mind.

4. From the countless instances of causation in reality, we infer to the existence of a first and ultimate cause.

5. We find that the first and ultimate cause of all instances of causation in reality corresponds to our information on the concept of God, namely, the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

6. Conclusion: God exists in concept as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

What do you think about my proof for the existence of God?

I can agree in part with the part bolded.

Thanks everyone for your presence and participation.

If I may, let us first get connected with the concept of God, for if we don't have the same concept of God, then we will be acting irrationally talking about whether He exists or not, when we are not having the same thing in our minds - that is talking past each other's head, which is an irrational behavior by us all.

And also if I may, let us just concentrate on one God, even though there are thinkers who propose that there be many gods, etc.

Please therefore everyone here, I suggest that you choose one god to work on, and propose your concept of the god you are presenting to prove the existence or non-existence of this god.

You see, we have got to work on one god at a time, and we have got to work as to concur on the concept of god we are talking about to prove that he exists at all or not, in objective reality outside of concepts in our mind.

Here is my concept of God, of course you can use the word god instead of God, for your one god that you choose to work on, as to come to his existence or non-existence.

Here is again my concept of God, and please bear in mind that it is the information of the concept of God from me, it is not any proof at all by proposing the concept of God; for without any information about something at all, i.e. the concept, we would be acting irrationally talking about its existence or non-existence, as we will be as I said talking past each other’s head, on different things.

Here is again, please bear with me, my information on the concept of God.

  • God in concept is first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

So, dear colleagues here, please present your information on the concept of the god, just choose one of the many Gods, gods, goddesses, deities, divinities, etc., that you know about; for in this way we will be connected in regard to what we are talking about, as to prove that it exists or it does not exist.

I don't believe these things you call god(s), exists. You will just have to bring better 'proof'. You can't argue stuff into existence.

Your version of cosmological argument is just as flawed as every other version.

Just to start, your argument is based on the fallacy of composition. Just because something is true for something within the universe, does not mean it is true of the universe itself.

Not to mention, causation is necessarily a temporal event. The god you are positing, if it was capable of causing events, would have to exist in a realm which also has time. Who created the realm your god exists within?

There are many more problems with your argument, but these are enough to show that it is logically invalid.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I work with on the of the oldest concepts of God/state of existence prior to inflation/creation of a universe: An undifferentiated absolute substance that is infinite in expanse. Matter/mass occupying 100% of space, forever in all directions. This would be the extant body of the eternal God and the energetic vibration/transmission of information through that mass is the Mind/Spirit of God.

This God makes voided space within itself and that is the inflation of a universe. God "hides" from creation.

Time is objectively the measure of the movement/change of stuff through space. If you have space and no stuff, you have an eternal now. If you have stuff taking up all space so there can be no movement, you also have an eternal now. As soon as you make space in stuff or stuff in space and add movement, you get cyclical/orbital/relative time. Non-relative time is a duration that does not change.
