Dear everyone in particular readers though you do not send posts here, thanks for your presence and contribution to this my thread.
Dear Simon Moon, I notice that you are a textbook thinker: You say that I am into the fallacy of affirming the consequent because that is what you see from the textbook. Then you say that you know about mammalian reproduction from textbooks. So, it seems that you do not do any thinking on your own, grounding yourself on truths, facts, logic, and the history of ideas. Your knowledge is what I might call textbooks based. Now you tell me when I ask you whether you have ever procreated with a woman a baby? You answer: “No, I haven't had children.” Addressing readers here: Take notice dear readers here, that Simon Moon depends a lot on textbooks and not his own thinking based on his experiences in life, and grounding himself on truths, facts, logic, and the history of ideas. Back to Simon Moon: But you know, Simon, that your papa and mama procreated you by their causation of you through their procreative sexual reproduction causation process, starting with genital copulation and completing the process with your mama delivery of you from and through her portal, where she launched you forth into the world of existence and life outside her womb. ____________ Now, let us you and me talk about causation. Is that causation or not, the sexual production by your papa and mama whereby they brought you forth into the world of existence and life? Please do not bring up textbooks, you know that textbooks change frequently, and the authors of textbooks are not the best adequate authorities in real time, even in the subjects they write on in their textbooks. We want to read something of and from your own thinking, on your experiences and contacts with life, grounding yourself on truths, facts, logic, and the history of ideas, in particular your life with your parents and siblings and of course all humans who ever come into contact with you, not only of your manipulation of words and concepts all in your brain – and not all the time what your read from textbooks. So, please answer my question: Is that causation or not, the sexual production by your papa and mama whereby they brought you forth into the world of existence and life? Dear readers here, I know you are here, even though you don't transmit posts. Thanks for following this thread of mine. RE: I am a theist, what do you think of my proof for God existing?

Yep, here it is, dear readers.... a person who has been told a bunch of times that causation ex nihilo is nothing like the causation of making babies or anything else observed in this Universe...
And still, he perseveres in attempting to equate just that! I can't tell if it's lack of understanding or lack of willingness to understand or an utter refusal to understand... but be it what it may, it is usually catalogued as "stupid". Some will say deluded... I prefer willfully ignorant. RE: I am a theist, what do you think of my proof for God existing?

I like the idea of a Christian trying to invalidate someone else's argument because he read a book.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Dear readers here, thanks a lot for your presence.
Now, I hope it is not premature, but I seem to have an insight, namely, that I am witnessing what I call the phenomenon of intellectual perversity. We know about moral perversity, sexual perversity, psychological perversity, but now I might apply for patent or copyright, on what I call intellectual perversity. Intellectual perversity consists as with all forms of perversity, very broadly and ultimately on insistence against employing reason and intelligence to know the default status of the totality of things in reality is existence. It is peculiar to socalled intellectuals, actually shallow or downright fake intellectual: as with all forms of perversity, there is the abuse of the innate faculties of human nature; with intellectual perversity, it is the abuse of reason and intelligence. Intellectual perversity is thus detected when humans otherwise endowed with the use of reason and intelligence, persistently perversely, stymie their reason and intelligence, in order to not admit truths, facts, logic, and the lessons from the history of ideas. For example, a human insisting that babies are caused by molecules, instead of by their papas and mamas. Anyway, dear readers here, I will look up with google these two words, intellectual perversity, and report back later. RE: I am a theist, what do you think of my proof for God existing?

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

He would be what they throw away from a lobotomy.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

So, the phrase intellectual perversity is already familiar in the internet.
In the meantime that I am waiting for Simon Moon to show up, I will report to you dear readers here, the first page of hits by google on the phrase, intellectual perversity. Incidentally, creation ex nihilo and creation by causation from papa and mama of a baby, the latter is an example of intermediary causation insofar as causation is concerned in essence, of the former which is exclusive to God, Who in concept is first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning; so what is the big fuss all about? Another instance of manipulaton of words and concepts in the brain without ever getting to the reality of existence, like babies begotten by papas and mamas. Of course only papas and mamas will ever know by experience what it is to procreate a baby, if I may exaggerate though. Beware of the procreation of fallacies all in one's brain. Yes, biological reproduction causes offspring to come into existence through the rearrangement of existing matter and energy. This is known a creatio ex material. You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. |
