WTF?

I believe what FNM's response is trying to convey is: What the FUCK kind of a gift is freewill if it comes with a giant fiery string attached?!?!

Answer: It's not a GIFT at all. It's a pathetic excuse to punish people who choose not to love something they cannot see, feel or touch. Your god is an AASSSSHOLE!!!

Right On FNM ....... What The Fuck?! How do you NOT see this GC? Your god has sent 90 some odd billion people to hell. Yeah, keep trying to sell that "sweet true love". Ri-goddamn-diculous!

God has not sent the first person to hell, He has however given many what they wanted, that would be an eternal life without Him, hell is a dark place no fire there. I for one am glad I have the gift of freewill, I'm glad it was my choice to receive Christ as my savior and all the wonders that will and have come with that choice. We gave God every reason to punish us, He has never nor will He ever need an excuse to punish the lost, besides if He were needing an excuse then something would have to be His judge and since He is the Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent One then there is nothing that can stand as His judge. Giving one what he/she desires in eternity is true love, not forcing anyone to share eternity with the One they despise is a gift of love.

no, you won't ... but you'll certainly believe you did.

There they are at least I tried.

Never said I was advising anyone, just commenting. Yes I'm always dealing with my life and it is more that a pile of ----, even if you do not think it is, you do not live a life for God how can you judge me.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Quote:Makes all the sense in the world to christians,
That's because you lot are used to making up and believing in complete nonsense.

Quote:God paid the debt by giving His life for our redemption
And yet here god is alive and as powerful as ever. Tell me. How do you define 'sacrifice'? Because I don't think you theists know.

Quote: the debt that need to be paid would be the debt of sin.
For which god created.

Quote:Righteousness is the standard by which the debt was set.
No, for which your imaginary friend (god) set.

Quote:Christ bore the sins of the whole of humanity, that's what killed the divine part of Christ the human side died from the treatment He received at the hands of the Romans, this is how the debt was paid.
Which was utterly pointless because he's all powerful. Also paying a debt for which god himself put in place just doesn't make a single lick of sense....at all!
Plus, how do you know this jebus feller actually sacrificed himself? What if he's death was unintended? Didn't he say while he was on the cross "god! why have you forsaken me?". Perhaps being killed was not his plan, but merely to sway people over to believe in his bullshit story of him being god?
All this time, you most probably have been believing in a complete lie.

Quote:God being all powerful does not mean He will abuse that power,
Hasn't stopped him before though has it?

Quote:that would be against His nature.
Bullshit. His nature seems to suggest him to be a horrible, unforgiving, unreasonable, illogical dictator who contradicts himself time and time again.

Quote:that would be against the rules.
No it isn't. But flooding the forums with bible quotes is against the rules because it's counter productive and accomplishes nothing. So does threatening people with hell.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

RE: What does God deserve?
Gods child. I have a few questions for you and that is how can true God have two wills. By two wils I mean the old testament were he is exactly what Richard Dawkins said about him in the God delusion and the second will the new testament were God turns all sweet?

Somewere in the new testament it says that Jesus said that people in his presence want die before seing his second coming. Now he alegedly said that about two thousand years ago. I am sure that those people have died and I don't think that Jesus has come before there death unless there are people who are two thousand years old hiding among us. Can you please explain those verses?

And were it says to give your enemy to eat and drink because that way you heap coal above or below him. Now do you think that that is teaching you to be truly good or evil? I think its teaching you to be evil. Because true good would be to give him food and drink so that he might turn good. So that your kindest could perhaps make him kind. Not so that he would burn better, I mean you might as well pour petrol on him and burn him but ofcourse after you give him food and drink. Can you please explain?

And Rayaan can you please answer the last questions I have asked you?

Thanks

All just for not worshiping him.

Considering the other alternative mentioned was a world of no evil, you should rethink that gift.'

Sure God doesn't need excuses, he needs reasons, right?

I'm sorry G-C, but there is no such thing as an afterlife.

I like the notion that you, "a lowly human incapable of understanding the supreme master of all things", could show greater love and forgiveness than their supposed
merciful, loving and just god. What's most cool about your post is that by writing it, you not only have already shown more grace and forgiveness than their jealous jehovah, but you've also proven that a non-believer has it within him to be a good, morally responsible, kind hearted and fair individual.

If atheists were the monsters they'd like you to be... you would've stopped writing after you threw their god into hell. If I could give you extra kudos - I would. I wish there were far more of you in this world Rev.

I can't help but mention that willingly going to ones own death for any reason is only sacrifice if you're mortal. What exactly is an immortal sacrificing by "death"?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I believe that we humans should be benevolent in the name of benevolence itself. If one is being kind merely to avoid being punished or to receive a reward then the concept of benevolence is cheapened. True benevolence is a sacrifice. A willingness to look beyond petty squables and step forward in the name of kindness for the very sake of kindness itself and nothing more. I'm willing to forgive, but I will never forget.

I find the lack of integrity in humanity to be the most disturbing trend these days. Greed is glorified and true sacrifices in the name of benevolence are rare and far between. Greed will be the death of America. Greed destroys the family unit and thrusts a dagger into the back of your closest friends. Greed (selfishness), in my opinion, is diametrically opposed to benevolence.

I agree 100%. Its like saying that a person made a sacrifice by giving away a million dollars to charity, yet still has 20 billion in his bank account.
