Wait, there is a "rural" in Florida? No way.

Pff. I eat enough garlic that they actually fall out of the air when they get close. Now, my wife they consider some sort of delicacy. I just tell her she's succulent, but don't get a real warm response then. She practically got eaten alive (about 100 welts, none for me) when we went camping at a place aptly named Mosquito Flat

I miss em.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's another! Regular cockroaches go to Florida and graduate to a fancy name- "Palmetto Bug". Fuxxake, them things are obnoxious. 3" long cockroaches? Shit, when I was in the Navy, stationed in Illinois ("A" School), we used to go into the basement and use those 3" roaches for golf balls. I guess I have to hand it to a bug that can get hit across a 20 foot distance with a broom stick, and survives to scuttle away. I worked at Cape Canaveral on and off from '01 to '07, and the cicadas were "blooming", I think about '05, maybe '06. If I could have incinerated them all, it would have been a good thing. The noise was incredible! I guess the topic has swerved over to fucking bugs.
