Schools usually have each grade divided up by multiple classes, like my elementary school had 1st grade split up into class 1A, 1B, and 1C. All the grades were like that. My reasoning is it's probably pretty rare that a kid without vaccines for legitimate medical reasons (cancer, serious immune issues, etc) would be going to school in the first place. I think many of those poor children have to resort to being taught at home due to their illness and general vulnerability. I can't imagine there would be that many of them in the same grade at the same school to where it couldn't be arranged to keep him/her in a different classroom as the other non vax kids.

More to the point, why should they? Really, the fact is that, in most cases, separate classes for anti-vaxxed kids (as opposed to the unvaxxable kids you bring up freqently) would most likely follow two separate models, and both have serious drawbacks. The first would be a sort of special-ed model, with a smaller group of kids that would likely have to involve hiring more teachers, and the drawback of this is that it will likely involve a very different resource allocation for schools (and that can be a very difficult task for schools). The other, likely more viable option is putting them in separate schools. And, of course, apart from the logistical problems of such a plan, there's still the distinct possibility of an outbreak. Here's a couple examples of places with low levels of vaccination becoming a source for outbreaks.

I doubt separating classes would have a significant enough effect on disease epidemiology to warrant all the infrastructure required to do it. People come into contact in a lot of ways other than school.

To clarify, I dont mean to keep anti vaxxed kids in separate classes from the other kids, I mean separate classes from the "unvaxxable kids" (The ones with cancer, etc) Someone said an unvaxxed kid is not a danger to vaxxed kids... But they are a danger to "unvaxxable kids". That's when I made the suggestion of keeping them in different classrooms from each other. Which I don't really see being a problem since most unvaxxable kids are probably too Ill to be going to regular school to begin with... I guess there is still the issue of them using the same bathrooms and other facilities around the school though. But I'm not sure if that would be any sort of real risk.

Or...or! We could just require all kids going to public schools have all their vaccinations, lol. It's really as simple as that. Why on earth would we humor an anti-science movement in this way? Why should schools be forced to waste their time, room, and resources on people who don't accept demonstrable facts about reality? All that would do is fan the fire of a controversy that's factually non-controversial. It would essentially be enabling them.

I just value freedom. I don't agree with the no vax sentiment, but I don't like the idea of forcing vaccines either. It's a difficult situation.
Im not suggesting anyone waste resources. Most schools have each grade divided up into multiple classes. Just don't put the unvaxxed kid in the same class as the unvaxxable kid (if there even is one).

Would the "all kids" include the unvaxxable kids who, due to having a compromised immune system, would have a bad reaction to the vaccine? They may be rare, but they have a damn valid reason to not have them. Overall, I think that the best solution to the problem is to close the "personal belief" loophole, because the personal beliefs that prompt it seem to always be based on bullshit claims that have been debunked a thousand times over. I don't particularly relish the prospect of forcing people to do something that's physically painful, but I do believe in this case, forcing it is a necessary evil.
