Make up your own atheistic quote
|
The mind requires a door as any home does, for the indulgence of irrational concepts is no more conducive to reality than unwelcome strangers are suitable for central safety.
"Never trust a fox. Looks like a dog, behaves like a cat."
~ Erin Hunter
AronRa: "While my mind may be open, it is not empty."
Or my own classic signature quote: "There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views."
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
--- There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.
You are a lousy atheist if you don't barbecue kittens or strangle ducklings. And don't bring up babies with me, I will have none of that.

What about this one: For people that are consciously believing in something without evidence, don't need evidence to see that they are wrong.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
Isn't atheism just lack of belief in God?
"I pooped today." There, that qualifies.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.
- Thomas Jefferson
Atheism is shit!
That's what I'm getting. |
