What would you do if the school shaved your child's hair off?

I have a feeling I would be raising hell until everyone involved was fired. I think the hygiene excuse is bullshit, even if there was a hygiene issue their policy should obviously be to call a parent to pick up the child and discuss the hygiene issue. That they told her that her hair would grow back straight...fuck them why should she want straight hair?

That's ridiculous. Kids get lice with regularity...especially kids with clean hair.... and even then no one shaves their head. They get sent home to be shampooed and combed.

Depends on the reason. The schools appears to suck. This being a group home for children with "social, emotional, mental health and behavioral challenges, and histories of complex trauma", there may be more to the story.
