I should not be be surprised that people who seek power, also seek to use it in despicable ways. I'd say we deserve better leaders, but that seems to be increasingly untrue.
FWIW, I also find Louis CK's apology to be insincere. 
If I may ask, what would a 'sincere' apology look like?

Roy Moore didn't just cop a feel, man. He hit on a 14 year old. Try to keep things straight, if possible.
And if there is a sleazier motherfucker in the western hemisphere than Cruz it can only be the WLB himself. 
And picture shows what he's willing to do in front of other folks. What's he doing when no one is watching ??
IMO, regardless of who is implicated in this ever widening cluster fuck, regardless of their utility (or disutility) to our favorite causes and movements, we HAVE to side with the victims. Disclaimer: Just 5 months ago I favorably reviewed Franken's recent book here, I also see I semi-endorsed him for a presidential run in 2020. Doesn't look like I have been 'out to get him' all along, so take my disgust with him and his conduct now as the real deal. I'd like to think getting on my shit list is something I adjudicate fairly, although I note to some here it apparently looks as though I don't . . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
