Cutting Water Bottles Out of Our Lives

I only use water bottles in an emergency setting like I have a case stashed in my truck and a few bottles in the house but those don't get used often and I buy them like once a year.

I've never understood the fear of tap water myself (I respect it just don't understand it) I've drank from tap water and well water all my life and never got sick or had anything that I could see in the water. I drink primarily water only to a point where my parents were worried for me when I was younger and put in a $5k water system that required destroying their yard, constant upkeep and some kind of salt, and filtered all water even to the toilet. Honestly I have always thought that water tasted worse than just normal tap but I drink it when I'm at my mom's.

I do agree some places have bad city water and I wouldn't drink it to save my life. My in laws well water you can smell the sulfer in and both San Angelo and College Station both have bad city water everywhere.

Water is like 90% of a lethal injection, we should go like areias.

Oh, I've never been afraid of it, though you have to be in some areas. The taste of it is gross. I got that stuck in my head, so when I tried to drink it, my anxiety would act up. However, I am afraid of drinking after other people.

I never understood why people seem to need to take water everywhere, have a drink before you leave home! Most people don't live in a desert!

I'm thirsty a lot. I also have to drink a lot of water for medical reasons. It's kind of complicated to explain and I don't know what's going on, but it has to do with pee, blood, pain and lots of tests. The more water I drink, the more comfortable going to the bathroom is. I know, so much information.

Local tap water is adequate for most of my needs, and I just fill up a sturdy bottle from the tap and sip it all day at work.

The only time I buy bottled water is when I'm brewing mead, and I pick up a 10-litre jug of spring water for that.

Lol when I was younger I would argue that water didn't have a taste and people were crazy. Now of course I know that people have different tastes and they very well can taste water.

Also side note to those that want to drink more water but don't like it: fruit! I buy a bag of limes or a few cucumbers and cut them up all at once then freeze them. You can then take them out little by little and add them to your water. They act as ice and flavor! I've also done strawberries but I prefer cucumbers personally.

Tap water only here. Keep a pitcher in the fridge to let any volatiles escape (sometimes the city goes overboard with the chlorine). 

One exception, road trips.

Everyone should get a chance to try the rust water in Wyoming. Yum, Yum!

I use a 5 gallon water jug. It costs me 50 cents to refill it.

I use plastic bags at the store, though.

We have a Brita pitcher filter, too, and are quite happy with it. My wife will avoid drinking tap water at virtually any cost, and even she is pleased with the purchase.

I spend a lot of time on the road for work and confess that I still occasionally buy a bottle of water for the trip because of the convenience. But I always feel guilty about it. I'm thinking of buying a canteen or something similar that I can fill at home.

When I was a kid, we only drank tap water... Then my dad met someone who made him drink bottled water, but we got 5L bottles of it, some 2 or 3 per week.
Then I moved out and, as a trial, went back to tap water... Perfectly fine! Haven't gone back in years.

Recently, I moved to the UK... Tap water tastes just fine, no filtering required. I just have a regular old pitcher and fill it up when it's dry.
Some friends advised the Brita thing, so I tried to find out what it filters out... Mainly chlorine.
The main problem with water here is limescale and that's something the Brita doesn't filter out... But people think it does... Go figure!

LP, I've seen 50cL water bottles for sale for less than 10 cents...Maybe in lidl... Cheaper than beer!
