Why would we have an entire section modded by a single non-staff member. It’s not even technically possible. By a staff member, correct? I was actually talking to Tibs when I posted this and he said it isn’t possible without having certain things viewable by that “mod.”
Double-checked with him. You can’t have someone mod a subforum without being on staff. I didn’t want anyone to think I just made up some bs excuse or for CL to mistakenly believe that was possible, but we just dismissed it off-hand.
Specifically they won’t have access to reports. Mafia forum isn’t really moderated the same way the regular forum is, game operators can close/open threads and edit other users posts (I think) but that’s about it.
Yep that's all Mafia game mods can do. They don't see all of the special buttons and everything that regular mods see.

Fine, fine... make him a full mod but he only deals with stuff in that subforum and abstains from the voting on other stuff.
(someday, we'll all be mods and ex-mods, anyway) RE: Civility subsection suggestion

I bet you wish me and Poca were still on the Staff as we'd have both voted yes as well I mean that's what trial runs are for right? To check if it will really be quite as logistically difficullt as presumed or if it will be a pleasant surprise and in fact work quite well (perhaps a couple of folks getting removed but the vast majority getting along just fine. There's always going to be people who complain right? Should we really pander to those people?) While the idea has some merit, implementation and use as intended would be logistically difficult, as evidenced by the way it was received by both the for and against parties. Sorry, guys. Jane, you ignorant slut. What the bloody hell!!! THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!! and you know it. You're just being ASSHOLES about not wanting a subforum because all the power hungry staff tyrants have sticks up their asses so high they can pick their noses with them. Lazy salad tossing douchebags. I'm fucking out of here because it so FUCKING obvious that this herd of basement dwelling, IPA sipping neckbeards need a place to have a fucking CIVIL conversation. :-)

Hammy, you’ve been flipping out about safe spaces for days and now you’re pro?
Closing threads and removing people from user groups is not enough to mod an entire section with much stricter rules. Giving people the idea that it’s some simple fix when it’s not isn’t fair to staff. |
