It's mathematics, and so not the same critter as science, except for being the sole vehicle by which science has a way to express itself. However, your (Drich's) umbrella religions (all you believer's management) kept that for themselves except for the part where they observed the heavens to intimidate the illiterate peasants by predicting solar eclipses as a threat against whatever behavior they wanted to control (for example). Those captive mathematicians served the churches. I truly hope that if there is a god, that he punishes those people and you lot that do what you do.

You;re talking with a person who thinks that magic book was written damn near at the beginning of time...and that it being as currently wrong as it ever was is a bonus.

Good luck.

Indeed. Repeat to yourself: Serpents talk, mankind came from incestuous relationships, the world was flooded despite no water in it for that and all your sins are forgiven if you you accept that before dying.

Tell us again drich, how could you possibly have aids in order to take a test? Were you in promiscuous relationships, using drugs or being gay? =) I think nobody asked you this.

A yes. god saved you and all we atheist should get aids to start believing. That is your warm message. Howcome the bible says nothing about aids, despite being that old?

The Bible doesn't say anything about serpents talking and what do you mean there was no water. The Bible doesn't say those things will save you. You need to at least read the Bible before you make yourself look so foolish by stating things that are not in it. Wow how to you get by in life acting in this manner.

Good luck.

In a language which was not even invented until the 10th century BC at the earliest but more likely several centuries later.

Dealing with G-C is frankly like talking to a 2 year old.

Yep, but serpent wasn't mentioned it was serpents, big difference especially since this one was most likely one of a kind. I asked you earlier why you bothered answering others post, this is a good reason not to, you do not read them closely, it is a fault of yours.

Nope... maybe...Maybe this is one of the reasons .. Anyway, Jews also have their Talmud besides the Bible ... and Talmud these are Jewish books, written by various Rabbis in the first centuries after Christ. The first book is called the Mishnah and is an explanation of the Mosaic law contained in the Bible ("the first major written collection of the Jewish oral traditions known as the Oral Torah.")... and for them the Talmud is more important than Bible so they still follow the Mosaic law..

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day."

RE: Nobody reads science books metaphorically!
There was a point to these books, in amongst other agendas, which was an attempt to compile "health and safety" ideas of the day. Some of them turned out to have a bit of basis, and some are just completely wrong. Sadly some of these things still get followed regardless, and rationales are engineered to explain why people are still doing things which seems extremely stupid.

(Just my opinion.)

Rob, this is where the Abrahamic religions have painted themselves into a corner.
Wouldn't they just love to heavily revise the bible in an attempt to remain relevant and connect with the newer generations.
But by doing so, they have to admit that the bible is not the unchanging perfect word of God.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
