Evil Atheists
RE: Evil Atheists
Oh you're an atheist? I take it all back you're cool with me. Argue
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Which imaginary guy? please quote me

I think he is critiking the idea that morality coming from an immoral law giver is silly. That is the point you are trying to make through creating this thread, isn't it?
My conclusion is that there is no reason to believe any of the dogmas of traditional theology and, further, that there is no reason to wish that they were true.

Yet another irrelevant assumption, I don't have a pastor.

Stat part two, please stop ignoring my posts in order to continue your enjoyment of the inflammatory ones. If you post one more time, having ignored my repeated attempts to get you to read my response to your questions, I can only assume that you are here to argue, not to ask honest questions. You are not being persecuted, but are instead trying to make yourself feel like you are by only reacting to angry posts.

Skepsis, no one without an agenda would call atheism a worldview. Many people try so that they can apply our atheism to various parts of our lives where they do not apply. It is a common way of attempting to discredit atheists.

See, that might be the trouble right there then. If you did, he probably would have been able to tell you from experience that these sorts of arguments get a person eviscerated.

Priest, vicar, televangelist, shaman, witch-doctor or similar will suffice.

Agreed, though I have only just got into this little exchange.

No, not at all, I have never once claimed that theistic derived morality is superior or even relevant to the question, that is the frustrating aspect to this whole scenario. The question is specifically aimed at atheistic philosophical understanding of morality. I simply want to understand how one atheist can refute another atheists views on morality, it has nothing whatsoever to do with atheism vs theism.

RE: Evil Atheists
That's the point, we can't "refute" each other (and neither can theists) , we can only come to a civil agreement with each other. There is no absolute moral lawgiver. If any one person decides that he likes his morality the exact opposite of what any given community decides to live by, that individual is usually removed from that society. We deal with these issues in exactly the same way you do, we simply own our opinions, rather than pass them off to some as yet unproven "lawgiver".
(this is the third time I've said this btw)

For example I believe much of what is in your posts is deceitful, I believe your premise is designed to be inflammatory, and I believe you to be a bigot. I believe that you are immoral. See how I did that without referencing god? (damn so close Argue)
