How the hell does revoking the security clearance of someone who no longer works for your government an attempt to bully people who do?

Bolding mine. I'd venture to say that retiring persons who know the inner workings of the intelligence community are probably tapped for their deep expertise by the newer and younger persons, thus keeping their clearance(s). If cheeto von tweeto can have a hissy fit and force people to be debriefed by fiat, I can certainly understand how people will feel bullied if they don't "toe his line". While that certainly isn't a crime, it establishes a hostile environment for every person who sees that the emperor has no clothes. It's a reprehensible mis- and micro-management of the workings of government for petty revenge, and yet another example of the petulant man-child who made it to that office.

He revoked the security clearence out of retribution for public comments and tweets that both hurt his feelings and damage his legal position in the current investigation.
In fact..there's a whole list of people whose security clearance have been revoked for no reason other than their connection to the investigation. Brennans was going to be revoked weeks ago..the statement is dated, but it was released now to deflect from the new omorossa scandal. Comey, Strok, Page, Mccabe, Rice etc.
The message is clear. Fall in line or suffer the wrath of the man sitting at the presidents desk.
Brennan still had his clearance precisely so that he -could- still do work for the government leveraging his knowledge and expertise.

I don't think so. I think they threw their lot in. It's not that they don't notice......they think he's worth it, and to an extent, they're fucking terrified of what he can froth up his base to do.

Based on comments I hear from people who voted for the orange turd, they only care that he "shakes up the establishment because he's not a politician", with no obvious exit strategy. I saw it here, and I completely agree- "if you voted for a person because he's not a politician, then the next time you have a colonoscopy, hire a plumber".

Too right. I've never really grasped the whole I-want-him-in-politics-because-he's-not-a-politician thing. Politics is a skill like anything else. If I need electrical work done, I hire an electrician. If my car needs fixing, I hire a motor mechanic. It's baffling to me that people insist that hiring (read 'electing') someone with no political experience to fill a political job is a GOOD thing.
