No, it didn't make sense on several levels. Feel free to keep it up.

No problem.

If you support a POLITICIAN who attacks everyone in a carpet bombing manor, in entire races, entire religions, war heros, his own intel and the free press, then you are like he is  A FUCKING DICK.

I will feel free to call you a dick too. With no apology or compunction.

I'm 100% behind Colin Kaepernick's message and kneeling at NFL games. I'm puzzled why people think he didn't have the right to do that. I also support Black Lives Matter and I've gone with my kid to local protests and marches, including one in my town against police brutality after Stephan Clark was killed.

But the Nike campaign is bullshit. A multi-billion dollar corporation with a Third World factory workforce that are paid less than a dollar an hour wages making an ad campaign against injustice and oppression? Please. Give me a break.

Also, when Kaepernick said he doesn't vote, including in the 2016 presidential election, I decided I can't really support him. I still support his message but I don't support him. Voters hold the power and not voting is throwing that away.

And at the same time there's a bunch of adults running around a field giving each other brain damage and encouraging kids to do the same.

Well, who needs to live a long, healthy life, when you can make millions and billions of dollars?

Alot of the folks who've played ball weren't going to live long healthy lives.  The only difference between getting signed and not getting signed..in that regard, is that they've got millions of dollars.

As regards the OP....the shoeburners don't seem particularly patriotic or very american, to me..as a hyper patriotic american, lol.  They're protesting too, I guess....but I doubt that Nike gives a shit.....and they're kindof on the wrong side of the protest line, lol. I like to vent too, especially about shit like this when the whole "disrespecting our troops" trope is carted out. I wonder why any of us ever bled for these dumb fuckers. Then, I remember, that unlike these faux patriots...when people are shooting my fellow americans I have their back, and not the shooters, because they're americans.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

As for censoring Alex Jones, I imagine it's because he's a wacko, but he's far from the only one. I'm not sure why they targeted him specifically, since I didn't pay attention to any stories about it, or the recent thread here.

Who is the arbitrator of who I'd a wacko or not?

Free speech is free speech. If free speech only applies to the speech you like, it's not free speech.

If you subscribe to the argument that corporations should be the arbitrator of free speech (for whatever reason, most left wing people seem fine with this with Alex Jones and not Colin) then at least be consistent with that argument.

Instead the exact same people who say YouTube not only can, but should censor certain people, don't feel like the NFL has that right.

No moral consistency whatsoever.

That's not exactly accurate. Alex Jones agreed to certain terms of use which he violated. The NFL players are not violating any prior agreement. The conduct of players is dictated by the players agreement. Nowhere in that agreement was there anything about the expression Kaepernick engaged in, and it's even questionable whether requiring players to be "respectful" during the anthem does not run afoul of that agreement. So, in one case, these social platforms were simply holding Jones and others to a prior agreement, in the other, the NFL was punishing people for behavior which was not prohibited. The latter is censorship, the former probably isn't censorship.

Nope.

Brian writes exactly like Trump, random capital words, lots of explanation marks. The same syntax and misspelling. It reminds me of it every time.

Good thing form "trumps" content, then, ain't it.

But I wasn't aware that T.rump had copyrighted that style.

If you read the YouTube terms of service... "YouTube reserves the right to discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time."

On the other hand, NFL players aren't employees, they are independent contractors.
