I feel like my father is too severe

We can't make judgement as we only have one side of your story. We can however feel empathy - in that MOST young people feel they are being treated harshly at some point by their parents.

Only you can know what you' re going through.

I hope that in time your opinion of how you are currently feeling about this changes.

I know my attitude about how I was treated changed over time.

And I even avoided that curse so many mothers put upon their children -(like mine did) -

"Just you wait till YOU have kids".
