I had a 40 year career in law enforcement, served as the president of my local school board, president of my local lions club and had over 1000 Facebook friends until I cancelled my account. Sad I am definately not.

The whole reason it exists is to have discussions about issues. You realize that many of the atheists here were once christians (of different stripes), yes? That would put the shadow of doubt over the idea of investigating christianity through "prayer and the bible".
