People came here wanting a change of pace from the intolerance of their government, and now it looks like we're back at it because people want to throw it all away, when we could live in a unified nation. But hey, you may accept being enslaved, but not me.
To logically put it, it's neither wrong nor against the law to take a religious holiday and enjoy time to yourself Which is why work forces can't say you have to work for them on a religious holiday, if you want it off for religious reasons, such as having Christmas off as you have church. They are obligated to allow you this on this ground, if you are fired for it or forced to work, they can be sued for this.
HOWEVER, this does not mean it is fully paid for, you took that time off so thus you aren't getting paid for your time off. This works here also, they are more than free to go on this trip, I don't judge. But, the fact remains, they were trying to get it funded by the government, which if you ever look at the prices of Disney tickets, they are massive. I had to pay around 300 even with help form my aunt as she in the military and in Florida. If they pay themselves with their hard earned money, I have no problem with it. But they are asking us, the citizens/government money, to pay for their overly expensive trip, which includes a plane, entry into the park, food money, hotel, and the universe knows what else. I'm not paying for some religious group to have fun, if they don't want to put their tax dollars into me going on a trip around the world because my tarot deck reading group wants to have fun. Now, had it been a fund raiser, sure, that's all well in good, let people who care pitch in. Not me, if you see my readings as devil worship and their is 'no way in hell frozen over' you are allowed 'devil worshipers' to go to the Disney parks. Then i sure as hell ain't letting my money, given to the government because I am a citizen, be used for you to go to a Disney park so you and your followers can have your 'lovely fun' with Mickey. It's a simple as that. The government doesn't fund for religious groups, regardless of their background, Atheist, Deist, Christian, Mormon, JW, or Scientology, to take vacations on government money. They are officials, they are not agents, they are not even PART of the government who gets these trips, they are a religious group! Not a government funded, backed up, group!
Religions are scams.
