And of course the cop gets administrative leave, and white local official promises to "investigate", and asks for "thoughts and prayers."

That stupid cops actions, make it harder for the public to trust law enforcement. She didn't approach that window to threaten the cop, she did what any normal person would do if they heard noises outside their house look out the window to figure out what is going on.

Exactly.  You're at home with your eight year old nephew, you hear people and see a flashlight outside, it's perfectly normal to move to a window to see what's going on.

What's not normal is for a cop - without identifying as such - to shoot through a window and claim he 'perceived a threat'.

Yep, to me its murder, cops aren't immune to that, or are they? I told the story about that portuguese cop that after a van drived by a burglar ran over his partner, tried to shot the tires of the van and hit the back where the burglar son was. He got charged with 2nd degree murder (IMO, it would be the dad to be charged with child endangerment). The community helped the cop to pay for the defense.

Well, cases like this one doesn't help the law enforcement reputation over there. He should be punished for his crime or there is a law that allows cops over there to shoot first and ask questions later? The cop could have stayed behind cover and yell "This is the police!, Identify yourself!".

Blacks do not want to fear cops, and nobody here wants anyone to fear cops.

Saying what the cop did was wrong, ISN'T calling for fear of cops, but change in conditions so things like this do not happen.

I want cops myself. I want cops to make it home alive too. But I do not want our current climate of mistrust. And it isn't just a black mistrust of cops. Or did you forget the Cliven Bundy couple Tea Party nuts who murdered two cops in a food joint then walked across to a Walmart and murdered a concealed carry civilian trying to play Dirty Harry?

Blacks do not want cops to be the enemy. Otherwise why did her black neighbor call the police? He didn't do that because he mistrusted the cops, he did that because he wanted a welfare check on his neighbor. How the fuck does a welfare check give a cop a licence to fire into a home from outside?
