Do you know article 166 of Strafgesetzbuch (German penal code) ?
In USA laws against blasphemy aren't applied nowadays in my knowledge because it was considered there are unconstitutional.
In some states books you can find matters relative to prosecution of homosexuality and others practices considered as sodomy but there aren't applied.
Even if I'm a French who did never put a foot in USA.
I don't forget some time ago anal and oral sex in male to male relationship was illegal in some states.
I don't forget some time ago anal and oral sex in straight relationship was illegal in some states.
In 2003 sodomy laws were invalidated by Supreme Court of United States with Lawrence v. Texas (Full case name : John Geddes Lawrence and Tyron Garner v Texas , United States Reports : 539 U.S. 558 (Open the page 558 of United States Reports volume 539 to find the case))
This case law on Wikipedia : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_v._Texas
Read the case law : https://www.loc.gov/item/usrep539558/
More about anti-sodomy laws in USA (Some of these are still in state statute even if unenforceable because of Lawrence v. Texas) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodomy_law...ted_States
I'm speaking of this to say there are many things in states books that are unenforceable because there were ruled unconstitutional.
I'm impressed to see states books contain illegal things because there are unconstitutional.
I think it's funny to read unenforceable stuff in states books because they were de facto repealed because the "Supreme Court of the USA" said it's unconstitutional but than state legislatures didn't repealed the unconstitutional texts even if there are not enforced.
You spoke about blasphemy laws but what's about obscenity laws ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Sta...cenity_law
well done
English wiki is better than Russian
so I want Ukraine to join NATO and the European Union
Europe is the most developed continent
You think than version of Wikipedia in English language is better than version in Russian language but I don't understand the link with the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and European Union.
Europe is the most developed continent on many topics (Economy , Rights of inhabitants , Less corruption than others parts of the world etc...) but it need to progress.
It does exist some violations of human rights (Adult Guardianship abuses , Abuses with involuntary commitment , Prisoners who see theirs human rights as specified in "Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms" nicknamed "European Convention on Human Rights" violated and many others violations) and there are more common than we think.
If you want I can speak with you about violation of human rights in adult guardianship abuses and abuses with involuntary commitment in France the country for which I'm a citizen and which I live and others countries members of Council of Europe (COE).
All countries members of European Union are members of this organization but not all members of COE are members of EU.
All members of European Economic Area (EEA) are members of this council.
EEA are 28 countries of EU more Island , Liechtenstein and Norway. It is an agreement between EU and these three countries.
IS , LI and NO are also members of European Freed Trade Association (EFTA) like Switzerland but unlike CH they are members of EEA.
States parties to EFTA are members of EEA except Swiss Confederation. EFTA is an economic union between these four countries and EU.
There are states that are neither members of EU , EEA or EFTA members of COE like Ukraine.
Go on Wikipedia if you want to know more about COE (Appeared in 1949) , EFTA (Born in 1960) , EU (The agreement to create it was ratified in 1992 but it is in force since 1993) , EEA (Appeared in 1994 but the agreement was ratified in 1992).

Religions are way too protected by blasphemy laws that try to suppress people from telling it like it is - religion is a load of crap and was invented to control and coerce people into doing what other people wanted or you'll face eternal damnation, and gullible idiots still believe it to this day.
I'm just glad I live in a country where you aren't killed for saying something like this, although here in the UK people are still way too afraid of speaking out against religion because as soon as you do all you hear is "Racist". When people do this to me I simply tell them to look at their religious texts and then call them "homophobic", "sexist", "racist", etc and that soon shuts them up.

I suppose you was accused to be a racist because you did criticized Islam. Am I right ?
Try to answer them "If criticize Islam is Islamophobic. Criticize Christianity is Anti-European and criticize Judaism is Anti-Semitic".
People often make a confusion between make a critic about people and religions.
An example with politic. If you criticize Anarchism , Communism , Socialism , Conservatism , Nationalism , Ultranationalism or any subsets of one of these ideologies.
Criticize one of these doesn't means you critic people with this ideology as it is a critic about ideology and not individuals.

Being white, if you disagree with someone black you're automatically branded racist over here nowadays, whether it's over religion or not. There's been a big shift to the right in politics since the 12th December election victory for Boris Johnson, and people who do this are a lot more wary of playing the race card when people disagree with them.

Sounds like you live in a very different part of the country.

I think you mean that blasphemy is (or at least 'was') not allowed in Russia, as the Pussy Riot girls were convicted of 'hooliganism motivated by religious hatred' and being 'offensive to believers'.

Ah, so you don't put any effort into your posts. Not important enough to do properly. Got it.
Ah, because you put so much effort into what you contribute here on the boards. LOL what a joke. Relax, drama queen.

Blasphemy is the cock dribbles at rolling stone magazine, putting Kurt Cobain ahead of Alex Lifeson in their 100 greatest guitarist list.
