US police brutality item

RE: US police brutality item
If you don't understand what being black in America is like relative to interactions with law enforcement, and it appears a few here do not, here is a fantastic essay to read. It's long, please read every word.

It's what morons do.

Some riots are, sure. Having participated in a few, I can attest that some riots are very carefully planned and sensibly organized.

That doesn’t appear to be the case here, though.

A "sensible riot"?

Put down the bong mate.....

...
Ever been to Detroit? The place is a shithole. There are areas that are still burned out since the riots in the 60's. Nobody will reinvest in an area that the residents torch everytime they get pissed off.

Benton Harbor? Same deal. Flint? ditto....

And the funny part?

The same geniuses that burned down the neighborhood will then complain that their neighborhood is shunned by corporate America...

Talk about some morons, amiright?

OMG, I found it!  I knew I could get my very own black man with comments on this.

A riot is the language of the unheard- MLK

I defended you when you were misquoted, please have the decency to not misquote me in return. I never said ‘sensible riot’ - I said riots can be ‘sensibly organized’. That’s a big difference.

No, I’ve never been to the places you mentioned, but I was an undergrad in Belfast in the late 80s/early 90s. I’m familiar with riots and I don’t approve of them.

Sorry. I don't buy it.

I can't see how a riot can be "sensably organized".

You might as well plan well mannered mayhem.

It’s no more difficult than anything else. Group A sets a few car fires, while Group B are standing by to attack the peelers when they show up (bring your own rocks - petrol bombs are provided). This keeps the cops tied up while Groups C through F are smashing storefronts and nicking stuff.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

My son-in-law is taking my granddaughter and a friend to what is supposed to be an organized protest in Dallas tonight.

I am scared shitless for their safety.

Friday night, people are already batshit over the quarantine, now this...I don't have a good feeling about this at all.

It makes little sense to be critical of riots if we're going to turn a blind eye to their causes.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
