I'll go so far as to add this. All the talk about "dominating the battlespace", and looking like jerks getting their asses handed to them?
Those guys are right, they're just on the wrong side.

My problem with "eating the rich" is that vilifying people just because they are successful doesn't seem fair although viewing the economy as a zero sum game means that they ARE getting their stuff directly from us and both parties are supporting lax taxation on the upper earners so...
I guess civil war? What do I win?

Everyone seems to feel the only way to ameliorate the rottenness of police culture in the US is through violence. That’s disheartening, to say the least.
Do it through funding.

Well, not everyone. In my experience, almost no one.
Funding would be great....but have you ever taken a look at disparities in funding? We give our police force a ton of stuff, they use it for what you're seeing now.
Honestly, alot of it has no other use. Whenever I see a pic of cops in some city that gives me nostalgia, I know that we're fucking up. I know what that gear is for. I know how it feels against my skin. I can keep going into straight pron if you like.
I just had A Idea, a non violent one. The cops can sell me gear for funding. I want it, but they'll have to change some laws so that I can have it. I know I'm not the only one. I'm pitching the wife on it right now.

Not handing out funding - withholding it. Require that any cop with a verified force complaint be fired within 30 days (and be barred for life from ever working in law enforcement again) or that police department loses all federal monies.
If a department investigates a complaint and finds it unfounded, it is forwarded to a new federal agency (ideally staffed by civil rights lawyers). Upon review, if they find it to be a legitimate complaint - in spite of the cop’s internal investigation - the police department in question loses all federal monies.
What have you got to lose?

As opposed to the highly effective uber-efficient ones they have now? I think what’s much more likely to happen is that police departments will quickly start to do a better job of policing themselves.

The point is that it’s NOT an impossible problem. Trump is missing a chance to be a genuine hero - given the way he gets a chubby every time he weaponizes money, he should jump at this idea in a short minute.
