1. I don't think proposed pronouns be mandatory by legal dictate. I think he was saying it's simply impolite not to use the right pronouns. But even if he were do people have the right to deny someone else's existence or just as bad deny them dignity?


2.I must disagree about laws. Laws should not reflect the prejudices of people they should protect the vulnerable from those prejudices.

Freedom goes both ways in the land of the free. Trans people should be free to be treated with same basic care and respect as any other human being, including being addressed using the correct pronouns.
