Hindrances for the US? None. Assisting ukraine isn't just good for ukraine, it's been wonderful for the us too. Say all you want about the US, but one thing we're reliably good at is turning conflict into coin. It's more that there are hindrances to us politicians career ambitions. They can't help ukraine or their own constituents without getting sideways with the mad maga king and his cult of domestic terrorists.

Well, I was thinking there could have been hindrances in supporting Ukraine from the Republicans.
Regardless, Ukraine can’t win without USA support, or can they?

Yes, far-right Republicans in Congress are blocking any further military aid to Ukraine for the time being. Their ignorance is matched only by their corruption.

The Repubs have been verbal about their disapproval of Ukranian support from the US.

I thought so.
Those republicans are just like those from when the USA was in the isolationism era after World War I.

They're far worse, because they've had 80 years to study the failure of isolationism, and yet still come up with an egregiously wrong answer that -- if heeded -- will almost certainly result in a more unstable and dangerous, and less free, world. Their placing of party over the national interest speaks volumes about their integrity.

Yeah, I meant to say they were much worse (which I somehow did not think of at the time of that post I made), but yeah, you are correct. These fools are becoming, or are dangerous to this country's values and other things. I bet they are even a danger to the USA themselves. With that said, they are the stagnancy that is brainwashing the people who are being used and manipulated like sheep. Whatever the case, the republicans' supporters and what they have become have made it so that they do not really have free will since they are more so brainwashed by the republicans, so while they may be here, I doubt they should be considered residents of the USA since they blindly support people who are not for this nation.

1) I don't think all Republicans are brainwashed. I think the MAGAts are certainly in a form of self-hypnosis, only consuming content that supports their world-view and denouncing everything else as "fake news". That's self-programming.
The other Republicans who aren't Trumpeteers are generally cowards who will not stake their political careers to fight this obvious disease. They'd rather go along to get along --and, incidentally, stay in office sucking that that gubmint teat they claim to despise -- or they'd rather wait until they retire from office (and therefore have no leverage in the party) before speaking out. Three exceptions to this: Romney, Liz Cheney, and Adam Kinzinger.
2) I'm not keen on stripping citizens of their citizenship for the act of expressing political opinions, no matter how stupid or obnoxious they are. We don't even strip traitors of their citizenship; we convict them and then jail or execute them. Criminalizing political thought almost certainly would fail the First Amendment tests, too.

I did not say we should strip them. If anything, I meant more that they just should not be seen as people of the USA considering how unfaithful they are. That said, they can remain in the country’s borders, live in this country and even have the documents for citizenship for all I care, but no actual banishment.
Also, I did not say all republicans were brainwashed, or at least did not mean to. I know there are better republicans out there, and as long as they are better than the far right or Trumpists, I do have no problem with them. I may have done a bad job at saying it, but I know not all republicans are bad.
I still think the republicans, at least the far right ones, are the stagnancy that hurts this country.

I haven't seen them as americans in years. They just happen to have been born here. Matter of fact, I think ole stephen miller is on to something. We probably should begin the largest deportation operation in US history just as soon as we're able. We can't and we wont, but we should.
