Let's see your examples and sources. Be specific on both counts.

What pagan rituals did Hitler "restore" (pardon the pun)?

What sources do you have supporting those claims?

Go to the part on “Thule Society” and then you can scroll downward.

While I have just learned that Adolf Hitler was mostly “innocent” (He seems to be an individual who is not so involved with occult issues), others around him like Himmler seem to be deep into some German-Paganist style Golden Dawn type of Occultism (as far as I understand it). This Wewelsburg Castle seem to be an administrative center for the SS where such rituals seem to have taken place:

On the issue of public festival:

That was something I remembered from some Discovery Chanel documentaries. But you seem to have corrected me on this one too. Hitler did not really restore any Pagan Festival. He even seems to be promoting what is called “German Christianity”. So sorry for not knowing Smile

What I can still say is that (just like Mussolini) he emphasized on a national identity that is based in antiquity with an idea of superiority based on the past glory of his people.

On the other hand: There was a public fascination with these ideologies from many writers, movie-makers or event documentary series. So some facts were probably exaggerated. But Hitler is also known for restoring some pagan rituals and holidays as a way of bringing the German people closer to its roots in pre-Christian Antiquity. That was the romantic side of Nazism. But yes, my Wolfenstein 4D type of theory on Nazi Occultism seems to be a little exaggerated. Smile

"I stopped being interested in the subject as I became more and more spiritual."

When I ask ten people what "spiritual" means, I get ten different answers.

What's your take?

That’s a different subject.

There once was a student who wanted to learn to walk on water. So he went to his Guru and told him “I want to learn how to walk on water”. Then his Guru gave him some meditations and some mantras to repeat every day. So at some point he really was able to walk on water. And he even crossed a nearby river by walking on it on foot. Then somebody told him “If you just had given a few rupees to one of the fishermen on the shore of the river, they would have carried you across that river of yours”.

So what I mean is that, smart people don’t spend time on things like telepathy when you can simply write an E-mail. That’s not what we do at least.

But yes, I used to be fascinated by the course of events in Carlos Castaneda books. But not anymore. Today I mostly focus on increasing my spiritual awareness and understanding. I don’t know if I can go into this subject under this thread. Bu you can read some of my comment in the “Islam” part of this forum. Smile

A different subject indeed.  Perhaps take it elsewhere and out of the Russia and Ukraine thread.  Please do make some effort at staying on topic.

Let's try to get back on topic, shall we?

RE: Russia and Ukraine
It'll end up in a devastated russia and stronger ukraine even if the lines on the map move. There's a significant portion of the russian public who support or supported the war with eyes wide open. As a smash and grab. They believed the russian admins outright lies and rosy predictions. The hope that anything will be gained by russia from the occupation of ukraine went down the shitter long ago. There wasn't enough in ukraine to cover the now bloated expense of getting it before the russians destroyed everything in their aoc.

A consequence for ukraine will be a generational up-armament. Something like a european north korea. If domestic production can exceed their cautious goals then maybe something more like a european us. Either way, ukraines immediate post-war future is in weapons development.

RE: Russia and Ukraine
Quote:Russian forces continue to use chemical weapons in Ukraine in a continued apparent violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), to which Russia is a party. The Ukrainian Support Forces Command reported on October 8 that Russian forces continue to use K-51 and RG-VO grenade launchers to launch munitions containing harmful but not necessarily lethal riot control agents (RCA), which are prohibited in combat by the CWC.[24] The Ukrainian Support Forces Command reported that there have been 250 cases of Russian forces using munitions containing unknown types of dangerous chemical agents in Ukraine in September 2024. The Ukrainian Support Forces Command reported that Russian chemical weapons use has been systematic since February 2023 and that as of September 24 Ukraine has recorded Russian forces using munitions equipped with chemical weapons 4,228 times. ISW has consistently reported on increasingly common instances of Russian forces using chemical substances in combat that are banned by the CWC.[25]

Since the treaty under which they gave up their nukes wasn't worth the paper it was printed on, if I were them, I'd build more nukes. They know how and it's the only deterrant Putin respects.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
