In Japanese, the word "maga" means "wickedness; evil; calamity; disaster" when written as 禍。
When written as 曲 it means "to be awry; to be askew; to be crooked."

Great news from Donald Trump! I mentioned in another thread that the US desperately needed a national health service to combat the high price of prescription meds. Trump announced that he's going to lower the cost of these drugs by 1000% to 1500%. You'll be able to leave your local pharmacy with a free inhaler, free insulin, AND a hefty bonus cheque! Problem solved.

Coincidentally, in Irish, 'maga' literally means 'magician', but it's often used with the connotation of a confidence trickster or someone known for fraudulent business practices.

Bad news: the Trump regime got a new pet theory about what causes autism.
Good news: he’s at least not blaming vaccines, and this time around, it’s at least A: not something that’s been totally debunked, and B: something that supposedly happens in utero, which makes it a plausible risk factor.
For the record, according to the Yale School of Public Health, the link between autism and acetaminophen use among the pregnant is nowhere near proven, but given that, as of today, we have Ivy League doctors looking at the possibility, well, at least that’s far better than anything the anti-vaxx crew are able to pull off.

It has been studied, it doesn't cause autism. Just like vaccines, the researchers have noted that untreated fever is still worse than the made up bullshit they're allegedly concerned with. Moreover, autism existed before tylenol existed. It's not different, it's still nutter shit.

I would sooner have dad (the veterinarian) still alive to turn to for medical advice than the dipshits who are currently in charge. Dad had some issues but at least he was educated in medicine, not a heroin addict, and didn't have worm brain. In fact, I was a little miffed that he and his sister (a nurse) both died the year I was diagnosed with cancer...my medical backup left me right when I needed them most.
