Does your family know that you are an atheist?

RE: Does your family know that you are an atheist?
Added a "some" option.
Not everyone in the family knows, but I'm not actively hiding it from them. If they asked I'd be honest with them. I'm quite a private person in some respects; I doubt many of my family know of my political beliefs either.

Thank you! I knew that was a mistake as soon as I posted it. I couldn't edit it, though.

Were mostly all Athiests some are more militant then others.

All of my family know and do not give a flying fuck, even the Catholics(who are Catholic by tradition rather than observation). I feel for those on here who do not feel they can tell their families, it's quite sad that you can't be honest because of the simple mindedness of others.

Mine doesn't know, mostly because it's never come up. Mom's slightly religious, but it doesn't really affect anything. I think she's mostly a christian because of her near NDE anyway.
This is stupid

Yes, pretty much all my family know and as far as I'm aware pretty much all of them are atheists as well, or perhaps would identify as such if they considered it. It's not such a big deal over here; we even got rid of our ridiculous blasphemy laws years ago (so I love it when someone accuses me of blaspemy - it's one 'crime' I can't be guilty of!). Out of all the members of my family, I'd say my Dad is the one who most closely shares my views, on this and many other issues. His interest in the subject has certainly increased this past year or so and he often picks my brains about it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Actually, I have changed my mind. Why do some of you worry about what others think? It may be time for you to be honest and for them to grow up. Do not live your life by the expectations of others.

The only people I have not told I have done so out of concern for others. I don't really give a fuck if anyone knows.

Some of my family may know - if they've bothered to look at my profile on my facebook page. If they know, they've not said anything. No one in my family is very religious - during my years of belief, I was the odd one out for being so involved in church and such.
