Yes this is the mentality of Christians, but it is also the mentality of Muslims and Jews. Set up a high school click and depending on the school and the district, you can be the insider in one school but the outsider in another.

I wouldn't blindly advocate Muslim opression because ANY human group can and far too often does reflect the same click mentality any highschool does between the nerds and the jocks.

It is sad that despite our technological progress and growing pluralism globally our beefs still amount to the same tribalism as bullshit highschool crap.

Took me a while to find this but it definitely belongs in this thread.

Quote:Louisiana Rep. Valarie Hodges supported HB 976, a bill that among other things authorizes the use of public funds to support religious schools. (It refers only to "private" or "charter" schools, but according to the report 124 of the 125 schools that have applied for public funds have "some sort of religious affiliation.") The bill passed and the law takes effect August 1. But now Hodges is rethinking her vote after learning, to her horror, that Muslims want to benefit from the law, too.

Jefferson BibleAccording to the report, "Hodges mistakenly assumed that 'religious' meant 'Christian.'"

I love it when their own stupidity bites these jesus freak cocksuckers in the ass.

I think you've nailed this one.

BTW now the catchphrase is that Islam isn't a religion, it's a political system masquerading as a religion so it can get special privileges and worm it's way into governments of the world. What a great way to twist things so that someone can be a Christian and have all the privileges allowed a religion yet still be able to criticize Islam without looking like a hypocrite! Heck if they are successful they can push for discrimination against or perhaps stamp out Islam whilst at the same time not negatively effect their own religion. Very clever.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

Pretty much true of all "religions."

"God" is a fairy tale but "religion" does exist....to the detriment of humanity.

Islam doesn't see Christianity as a religion but as a political system? Perhaps this is true. Perhaps its difficult for religions in countries without separation between church and state to see how a religion can't be a political movement. It's hard to see this from my perspective. Any opinions anyone?
