Love, what was the joke you told me that got you bitched at in the bar? The one about the Jews getting up in arms about reparations from the train companies?

That was in a discussion about jewish and gypsy-organizations trying to get reparations in (I think) 2004 or so, from the "Deutsche Bahn", which is the sole train company here.

They argued that it is the legal successor to the "Reichsbahn", and thus the "Deutsche Bahn" must compensate the survivors and their families for bringing the jewish and gypsy-prisoners into the concentration camps.

What I basically said was: "Well... Good luck with that. From what I know about the people who run the Deutsche Bahn at the moment, the survivor organizations are lucky if the Bahn won't charge them 6 Million one way tickets as late fees."

I guess 3 quarters of the german population assosiate bavarians as being a people who elected Franz Joseph Strauss and Schäuble.

Nissan To Replicate Human Skin For Car Interiors

Japanese car maker Nissan has up the ante in the luxury car industry, by trying to create a synthetic material for its automobile interiors that would feel like the skin on a human finger.

Having concluded that the soft touch of a human hand is one of the most luxurious and pleasant sensory experiences, Nissan hopes to replicate its tactile feel—including its warmth, texture and moistness—with its cutting-edge artificial upholstery.

Doesn't Nissan realize that people outside countries like Japan, like the leather on their car seats to be same as you would find on the finest couches. I would have thought that their alliance with Renault would have injected some French style flair into them, however this has not happened (witness the godawful Nissan Cube versus the Renault Kangoo).
