I've heard many muslims claim that Islam is a "religion of peace", but any rational human being would view it otherwise.
Also, many Muslims believe in the stories of the Old Testament, in which God commits such horrible atrocities.
With all of that information, in what way would it be logical to assume that Islam is a "religion of peace"?

When Islam translates to mean submission, it's a pretty obvious indicator peace was never in the equation.

Maybe it's a matter of implication. When the whole world is either converted to Islam or is slaughtered for refusing, then the whole world will be populated by Muslims only. Then there will be peace. Maybe that's what they mean when Muslims claim Islam is a (political ideology) religion of peace.

After all just look at the veritable paradise that exists in countries wherein there is a majority Muslim population already.
