I wonder if, given that jstrodel has found his god, what motivation does he have to post such a drivel. You can type and sing all about your 'spirit friend', it will still be far removed from reality.
This guy really is an exercise in poe's law. I truly wished that people couldn't be this deluded, but then, there are those with much worse beliefs, so I don't know, I truly don't.

You see, our religious friends: this is why xtianity gets laughed at. Blame those who propogate drool like this.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

So that contradicts you saying that is what is needed to believe in/see God. They obviously believed in God without those characteristics.

Actualy it is pronounced "HaShem" with a patach, not a sh'va under the first letter. The initial heh as an article always has a "ah" sound, and never an "eh" sound.
On behalf of Hebrew speakers everywhere, please don't fake it if you don't know it.
Thanks!

When I first read this post I felt like making a snarky comment about eating strange little pieces of paper or snacking on strange mushrooms, but after taking a little time to think it over, I can express nothing but pity for the mind spewed such nonsense and confused it for imparting wisdom.

Ok, there actually was a nugget of wisdom hidden in there among the tripe. My question is, however, what does this have to do with believing in god?

You are the one who is faking it. I know H'shem. I don't care how you write it. God is my best friend. You are the one who is faking it with your scholarly knowledge of a being you do not know.

To believe in God is to laugh at what men consider great.
An atheist is someone that takes his culturally constructed world very, very seriously. It is not surprising that you would be offended.

What do you base your ethics on? Do you base them on a complicated argument or do you base them on intuition?

The con man is not the one who receives truth, the con man is the one that invents truth and says that he receives it.
To be a little child is to stop creating and start receiving.

To believe in god is to -insert whatever tired catchphrase you like here-
An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in god, full stop. The various ways that such a simple concept is so consistently abused has amazed me from my first day here and will likely continue to amaze me until my final day here.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
