GUILTY- GUILTY- MOTHAFUKIN GUILTY
Till mankind can think rationally, absolutely, without outside factors affecting those decisions: We're all fucked. Except for is guy getting three years, who actually got royally reprieved.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

As soon as someone quotes forum cliches like needing reading comprehension and spews out a bunch of ad hominems, I tend to ignore the debate as I assume they don't actually want any.

Sounds tempting.
I'd be excited... but does this mean I'd have to go to England to set people on fire without serious penalty? I don't know how fiercely Texans might react... I mean, they lock up and kill people if their own houses catch fire 0.o
I wanna make pretty fire on people too I don't care if they die or not... bonus points if it can spread from person to person

Lucker dogs!

Didn't at least one of them stop and think "actually stripping another man down naked and then covering him in oil is actually a bit gay in itself" But then I don't know the full story.
The word they want for is 'restraint'. Had all of us said quality in all cases, there would be no crimes of opportunity, or passion, or hate. Just about anything short of organized crime would disappear
... I might have desired it, but I still like people having the ability to emotionally blow up, or to occasionally steal something or kill someone. Shakes things up.

And when that wasn't enough, and jeering wasn't enough... well, all that's left is to set 'em on fire.
Best to keep me far away from people being bullied, has a habit to end with me in the principles office taking all ze blame from everyone and then what I did myself as well As an adult, that'd be... ah... prison.

Why was this perps teeth not kicked the hell in? This is b.s.!
This one wonders... would they miss you?
As for punishments, I was thinking Human Centipede 2. Seemed a little harsh, so now I'm thinking 'forced to watch every episode of carebears on repeat for 5 years'.
Actually, I just made things worse.

I'd have done it if paid enough. That's a lot, jingle jangle, know what I mean?
The real question isn't if he was bribed or had personal interest in the case... it is "why didn't anyone else notice?"
Probably better not chance it again real soon They might get wise.

World looks pretty good to me, and I'm unemployed. Just got to hope you don't get unlucky, since just about everything is illegal

Assumptions do indeed tend to make asses out of people. Luckily, you don't have to worry about that... since you've been one for a very long time

Don't they have some nonsense where you can't be tried again for the same crime? I forget... can sentences be modified post-trial?
Whole thing's nonsense anyway, but I am curious. Just not curious enough to googleh, been doing that all day and I am les tired.

One can appeal and recieve a harsher sentence.

Apologies for interrupting your simplistic mandated sentencing circlejerk in favor of making judges responsible for their actions.

He probably won't even spend out the full term of his sentence in prison, unfortunately..
Good question Lilly, why didn't anyone else notice??
Care to enlighten this bunny?

Double jeopardy is the concept. You cannot be tried for a crime if you were tried once and a verdict was reached.
Once a sentence is imposed by a judge, I believe that the only way it can be changed is via options such as sentence reductions for good behavior. I don't think they can be increased, though.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I have never used tanning oil but I would expect a product that I was applying to my body was NOT flammable. I did a quick search for tanning oil and found no warnings about product being flammable.
I think manslaughter was the correct call.
I also think the company and regulators should change the tanning products to non flammable.
