I know, it's one of those biblical mysteries that eludes me. But fr0d0 you don't just believe in the unknowable such as the existence of god you assert your belief as fact.

They all do. None of them understand the difference between "belief" and "fact."

I can't assert my belief as fact. See above.

In effect, that's what you're doing. I can see from everything you've posted here that you hold both as if
equally valid and real. You're just wriggling on the hook about definitions.
I notice that Christians who go on about 'faith not needing proof' will damn soon change their tune if they think they've found a little bit of historical or scientific evidence.

Welcome to the forum Pope Alfred I am glad I am not the only one that sees this I thought I was losing my mind lol. I know what you mean Minimalist fr0d0 and I have been on this roller coaster ride for quite some time now.
There is no objective proof of god that I know of that is sufficient enough to satisfy the requirements of an atheist. I agree fr0d0, the search for evidence for the existence of God is an exercise in futility. But you state your belief as fact basing yourself on faith as your very own subjective evidence.

My belief is fact ...erm, I believe right? I do not state my belief as fact. How can it be? How many times do I have to say that to you?

It is not that you state it outright but it's the way you state it that gives the impression that you state your belief as fact. By simply stating that your faith requires no evidence (which is true) you say it just is. The existence of god just is and you believe this by faith. Starting your arguments from this position you make your faith appear as fact.
